In honor of Juneteenth, Local 328’s DEI committee and the OHSU Black Employee Resource Group are partnering to feed OHSU’s Black employees. Employees, plus up to three family members or friends, may pick up a free meal from Everybody Eats, a Black-owned restaurant in downtown Portland, during the weekend of Juneteenth. In order to get a final headcount to the restaurant, we need members to reserve their spot by Tuesday, June 7.

When some special-needs parents were allowed to bill Medicaid as caregivers, the effect on the lives of the parents in this community was transformative. This caregiving allowance for parents is currently set to expire when the federal public-health emergency ends on July 15, and hundreds of families will fall off a fiscal cliff.
