Green Out the Capitol For Worker Safety!
On Monday February 19th, AFSCME members from our locals and across Oregon will be gathering in Salem to GREEN OUT THE CAPITOL for worker safety!
The work we do is critical to the health and well-being of the communities we serve, but for far too many of us, our work is putting us in harm's way. The sharp increase in workplace injuries, and even deaths, in the past year have made many of us feel unsafe when we go to work
It’s time to change that.
We know the ins and outs of our worksites and day-to-day jobs better than anyone. And we know how to keep ourselves, our colleagues and the communities we serve safe as well. These insights CAN affect change, but we have to make ourselves heard.
Your story can make a real difference. When legislators see real people like us talking about real issues, they tend to sit up and pay attention.
Register now to attend Oregon AFSCME’s 2024 Lobby Day on February 19th!
Whether you’re a seasoned public speaker or this is your first time, we have your back, and you won’t be flying solo. It’s so important for lawmakers to hear our stories, and February 19th, when we Green Out The Capitol, members just like you will make the difference.
In Solidarity,
Jennie Olson - President, Local 328
