RT and CNA Staffing Crisis

For the last three months, two groups have been fighting to receive recognition, support and compensation for the hardship the pandemic has caused their professions: respiratory therapists and certified nursing assistants. Instead of honoring these RTs and CNAs and all they have done to save lives in our community for the last 20 months, OHSU has left them insulted and in crisis.

Perilous Parking at OHSU?

AFSCME Local 328 would like to ensure our membership is aware that there has a been a rash of car thefts and vandalism at OHSU. Catalytic converters have been the main target; however, folks who park at OHSU should be mindful of the valuables they keep in their vehicles as well. Our union has spoken with OHSU Public Safety, who have proposed deterrents such as gates, cameras and emergency phones. Local 328 has proposed to HR that OHSU reimburse employees for out-of-pocket costs.
