Announcing President’s Office Hours
Unions are based on relationships. Only through the building of relationships with our represented employees can our union hope to create a unifying environment of camaraderie, strength and empathy. Prior to the pandemic, Local 328 member leaders and staff representatives built these relationships through in-person town halls and meetings, daily person-to-person interactions at work and union-sponsored events.
Unfortunately, the times we live in are anything but typical, and the pandemic has severely limited our union’s ability to interact with our members and build those important relationships. However, as pandemic restrictions start to ease and contract bargaining approaches, Local 328 will begin reconnecting with and recommitting to each other in the ways the made our union so powerful and united during our 2019 negotiations.
To that end, I will be holding ongoing in-person (at OHSU) and virtual drop-in office hours. This time is intended to give Local 328’s represented employees an opportunity to ask questions and voice concerns, and give me, as your president, an opportunity to listen. To participate, just stop by or register for the Zoom link to join me virtually. I hope to speak with many of you over the coming months!
