Make a Difference at OHSU: Join the LMC

If you are an AFSCME-represented employee, you are eligible to apply for one of the open seats on the OHSU/AFSCME Labor Management Committee, a collaboration between OHSU and our union that brings employees and managers together with the mission of improving our workplace.

As a member of the LMC, you can develop and lead new projects that make OHSU a better place to work. Past projects have included funding the Workplace Improvement Grant Program, hiring an organizational-development consultant to improve team communication across OHSU and partnering with OHSU’s Information Technology Group to bring LinkedIn Learning access to employees.

The LMC is made up of six AFSCME-represented employees and six managers of AFSCME-represented staff, representing OHSU across the mission areas. The current membership roster can be found here. The LMC is currently recruiting for two AFSCME-represented employees to fill open seats.

Time Commitment: Joining the LMC requires a minimum time commitment of two hours per month to participate in a monthly virtual meeting; this is on paid time. Additional time may be required for delegated task. Membership is on a rolling two-year rotation.

How to Apply: You may apply online here; the application deadline is Friday, Oct 21. You do not need to work on Marquam Hill or in Portland to apply. Click here to learn more about the committee, or email with questions.
