Remembering Our Power and Helping Our Siblings in GRU

Fellow AFSCME 328 members,

I would like to take a moment to remind you of the amazing power you built in our last bargaining agreement that resulted in RECORD across the board wage increases. Today, all of our paychecks are 5% higher, and we have each other to thank. Together, we built the power to demand pay increases not only to address high inflation on the heels of a three-year pandemic, but also to honor the hard work that we bring to OHSU every single day.

While we enjoy this hard-earned pay increase, our union siblings in Graduate Researchers United are fighting at the bargaining table for the same thing. GRU is organizing a picket on Monday, July 31st at noon in front of CHH 2. Let’s show our solidarity with some of the lowest-paid workers at OHSU who make the University’s ground-breaking research possible.
