Support Portland Community College Educators!

Local 328 is proud to stand by our siblings in PCCFFAP as they fight for a fair contract— and it has certainly been a fight.

The members of PCCFFAP are the faculty and academic professionals that make Portland Community College a real community: they enrich the lives of many of our own union members, our patients, and our community through their tireless labor.

PCCFFAP has been bargaining with PCC for an entire year, and PCC still hasn't responded to over half of the union’s economic proposals. They are dragging their feet on investing in educators, though they are happy spending money on management bloat and anti-worker consultants who do not have students' best interest at heart. PCC is a COMMUNITY College, and that means we, the community, need to help save it from mismanagement.

AFSCME Local 328 stands in solidarity with our union siblings at Portland Community College, in part by donating $3000 dollars to their strike fund. However, solidarity is more than money: we call upon our entire membership to come this Sunday, 1/28/24 to Terry Shrunk Plaza to stand in firm solidarity with PCCFFAP and demand that the administration of PCC comes to the table in good faith. If they continue to hold this Bargaining session hostage, we will escalate our support until PCCFFAP has the contract they deserve.
