GRU Ratifies Contract that Promises 40k Annual Stipends in Second Year

We here at AFSMCE Local 328 congratulate our siblings here on campus in the Gradute Reasearchers United (AFSCME Local 402) on their new contract. Under their new contract, ratifed on 9/14/2023, they have won their core demand of having their base yearly stipend become 40k in the second year of the contract.

We recoginize their victory was won not juts at the bargainning table, but at the many actions they held over this year. We stood in solidarity with them, from rallies and pickets to sit downs. Every victory for workers on this campus is something to celebrate and learn from, especially as we look towards our new contract in 2025.
