Appointments to Safe Staffing Committees

I am excited to share that, following the successful passage of Oregon House Bill 2697 — which requires hospitals to establish staffing committees for technical and service staff to develop safe staffing plans — AFSCME represented workers have been appointed to these committees. We are proud to introduce the Local 328 representatives who will serve in these important roles:

Technical & Professional Representatives:

  • Allied Health: Aaron Kawamoto & Michael Johnson

  • OR/Procedural: Melissa McDaniel & Adam Forkey

  • Clinical Support: Annie Wood & Emily Huang

  • Therapy: Jenn Roemer & Jackie Lombard

  • Laboratory: Nathaniel Waner & Lisa Klippstein

  • Pharmacy: Lindsay Keeney & Robert Osten

Service Representatives:

  • Clinical Support: Jorge Peat & Stephanie Robinson

  • Patient Support: Josh Kraxberger & Aaron Moore

  • Facilities: Joshua Hartman & Chris Horrell

A heartfelt thank you to all our members who have stepped up to help make OHSU a safer environment for both workers and patients. Your commitment is invaluable!

In solidarity,

Jennie Olson
President, Local 328
