Appointments to Safe Staffing Committees
I am excited to share that, following the successful passage of Oregon House Bill 2697 — which requires hospitals to establish staffing committees for technical and service staff to develop safe staffing plans — AFSCME represented workers have been appointed to these committees. We are proud to introduce the Local 328 representatives who will serve in these important roles:
Technical & Professional Representatives:
Allied Health: Aaron Kawamoto & Michael Johnson
OR/Procedural: Melissa McDaniel & Adam Forkey
Clinical Support: Annie Wood & Emily Huang
Therapy: Jenn Roemer & Jackie Lombard
Laboratory: Nathaniel Waner & Lisa Klippstein
Pharmacy: Lindsay Keeney & Robert Osten
Service Representatives:
Clinical Support: Jorge Peat & Stephanie Robinson
Patient Support: Josh Kraxberger & Aaron Moore
Facilities: Joshua Hartman & Chris Horrell
A heartfelt thank you to all our members who have stepped up to help make OHSU a safer environment for both workers and patients. Your commitment is invaluable!
In solidarity,
Jennie Olson
