AFSCME Women’s Caucus Event — Child-Care Outreach

Join us for an awesome evening helping our union sisters in Child Care Providers Together.

Child Care is a Union Women's Issue

As the coronavirus vaccine becomes more widely distributed, our workplaces and schools are reopening to more in-person activities. This pandemic laid bare how a lack of child care can be one of the biggest obstacles for working women, especially single mothers. Because of this, our efforts to help build Child Care Provider Together's network of quality union child care is a matter of equity. Union women are better able to participate in their workplaces, unions and lives with this growing network of providers, and child-care providers joining our union benefit by gaining access to thousands of working families seeking quality services.

Our event on Thursday, April 15, will be an outreach to child-care providers who are not yet part of our provider network, asking them to become members of Child Care Providers Together.

Fill out the RSVP form to let us know if you’ll be attending. If you have a moment, please spread the word to your AFSCME friends by sharing our Facebook event! We invite all AFSCME women to participate.
