Richmond Workers Share Their Stories

On Thursday, May 12, workers from OHSU's Richmond Clinic gathered to tell their stories to the OHSU and Portland community. We initially wanted to share these stories internally with OHSU leadership, especially Dr. Jacobs. Dr. Jacobs declined to meet with employees, however, so the employees took the courageous step of sharing their stories with the public.

The recording from the Richmond public forum can be viewed here on YouTube. These stories are tough to hear and we do want to warn folks that the video includes racist language and stories about bullying — this has has been the experience of these workers. Please be mindful of when and where you view the recording.

Our union’s hope is that, through sharing these stories publicly, we will move OHSU to enact the change that is desperately needed at the Richmond Clinic.
